We believe that one’s ability to pay for care should not determine the quality of that care.
We support our heritage and mission by providing health care and an array of housing and home-based services to older adults. With its purpose to encourage charitable support for the people, programs, and projects of EHM Senior Solutions, the Foundation provides stewardship of donor resources while honoring clients, team members, and volunteers.
More than $2.5 million used to help seniors
EHM remains focused on not only helping to provide quality care for those served, but improve the quality of life in the greater community. Here are some of the highlights of what has been accomplished over the last year:
- EHM Senior Solutions entered into a partnership with Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services to provide much needed home care services in rural Southeast Michigan.
- Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation donors contributed more than $1.8 million to help bridge the gap between cost of care and an individual’s ability to pay.
- Through the Safe At Home Charitable Initiative, Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation provided more than $60,000 in charitable services, so seniors could stay in their own homes. Services included installing medical alert systems, re-modifying doorways, building wheel chair ramps, and inserting grab bars in bathrooms.
It is the mission of the EHM Senior Solutions, a health and human service ministry related to the United Church of Christ, to provide health and housing services to elderly persons in a manner that respects their rights, dignity, and worth as children of God, and to render those services with compassion and patience in accordance with the highest professional and ethical standards.
Evangelical Homes of Michigan Foundation believes that the social profit of an organization can be determined by the impact it has on the communities in which it does business, and its wider impact on the world.
